Deposit Not Showing Up in Your Balance? Start Here

A missing deposit is usually one of three things: a payment that never actually left your bank, a payment that arrived without the reference code needed to match it to your account, or a payment that went somewhere else entirely because one character was wrong. All three are fixable, and two of them you can sort out yourself in a few minutes.

Don't deposit again. This is the most expensive mistake you can make right now. A second payment doesn't replace the first — it creates two payments to trace instead of one, and getting a duplicate refunded takes far longer than finding the original. One deposit, one investigation.

First, check the clock

If you paid by BPAY or bank transfer and it's been under a business day, nothing has gone wrong yet. Those methods settle on bank batch cycles, not in real time.

The 6 checks, in order

Work down this list. Most deposits are found at step 1 or 2.

  1. Confirm the money actually left your account. Open your banking app and find the transaction. If it isn't there, or shows as pending on your side, the payment hasn't been sent yet — the hold is at your bank, not at iJoker88. Nothing on our end can release it.
  2. Check the reference code. Open the transaction and look at the description field. It should contain the reference you were given on the deposit page. If it's missing or mistyped, the payment arrived but can't be matched automatically — it needs manual matching, which is exactly what support is for.
  3. Check where you sent it. Compare the PayID identifier or account details you used against what the deposit page showed. One wrong character routes the payment to a different recipient entirely, and that money has to be recalled through your bank.
  4. Refresh your balance properly. Log out and back in, or hard-refresh the page. Occasionally the balance has updated but your session is showing a cached figure.
  5. Check your transaction history. Look for the deposit in your account records. If it appears there but your balance looks wrong, the issue is display, not payment.
  6. Check the amount against the limits. Deposits below the minimum or above the per-transaction maximum need manual handling and won't credit automatically.

What to send support

If you've worked through the checks and the deposit still isn't there, contact official support. Having these four things ready turns a multi-message back-and-forth into a single reply.

  1. A screenshot of the transaction from your banking app, showing the amount, the date and time, and the recipient.
  2. The reference code you were given on the deposit page, and whether you included it.
  3. Your account username — not your password, ever.
  4. The payment method used and, for Neosurf, a photo of the printed receipt.

A note on scams: no legitimate support agent will ask for your banking password, an SMS verification code, or a Neosurf code. Anyone who contacts you on social media or messaging apps offering to "release" a stuck deposit is running a scam. Use only the channels listed on the support page — details in the account security guide.

How to avoid this next time

Frequently asked questions

How long should a deposit take to show up?

PayID is 1–3 minutes, Neosurf is instant, and POLi is usually within minutes. BPAY takes 1–2 business days and bank transfer 1–3, because both settle on bank batch cycles rather than in real time.

I sent a PayID payment but nothing arrived

Check your bank app first to confirm it left your account. Then check the description field contained the reference code, and that the identifier you sent to matches the deposit page exactly. First-time payments to a new PayID are sometimes held by the sending bank for up to 24 hours.

Should I just deposit again?

No. A second payment doesn't cancel or replace the first — you end up with two payments to trace, and refunding the duplicate takes longer than finding the original. Contact support with the transaction screenshot instead.

I forgot to include the reference code

The payment isn't lost, it just can't be matched automatically. Send support a screenshot showing the amount, timestamp and your account username, and it can be matched by hand.

Can I deposit from my partner's bank account?

No. Deposits must come from an account held in your own name. Third-party payments can't be credited and have to be returned, which takes considerably longer than the deposit would have.

My Neosurf code was rejected

Re-check for zero versus O and one versus I, confirm the case matches the printed receipt, and make sure no trailing space was copied in. If it still fails, send a photo of the receipt to support rather than buying another voucher.

The money left my account but my balance is unchanged

That means the payment was sent but hasn't been matched. Usually the reference was missing or the identifier was slightly wrong. Send support the transaction screenshot and your username — this is a routine fix, not a lost payment.

Will I be charged for a failed deposit?

iJoker88 doesn't charge for failed or returned deposits. Your bank's own terms apply to anything it charges for a returned transfer, so check with them if a fee appears.

Play within your means. Waiting on a deposit is a common moment for topping up again just to keep playing. That's how a planned amount turns into an unplanned one. Set a deposit limit in your account settings before your next session and treat it as a hard ceiling. Strictly 18+.

iJoker88 provides deposit limits, session reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion — see the responsible gambling tools guide for how to switch them on.
